What does The Boxing Co. do?

The Boxing Co. is a company that specializes in affordable and reliable summer storage solutions for college students. We provide all services related to summer storage, from storage in a fully secured professional storage facility to shipping by FedEx and DHL. All items stored or shipped with us are insured and secure.

How can I contact the company?

What are your Terms and Conditions of Service?

Packing
Do you provide boxes?

Yes, we offer boxes and they are free for you if you use our services. We offer two different sizes: the LARGE BOX (24”×18”×18”) and the BOOK BOX(18"×18"×12").

Do you store refrigerators?

We sure do. However, they must be thawed out and cleaned at least 24 hours prior to your pick-up time. We also recommend that you place a piece of cardboard in the refrigerator door and tape it in place to prop the door slightly open for the summer-- this is helpful in keeping improperly cleaned fridges from growing unpleasant company

Can I buy boxes from you even if I’m not planning to store things?

Sure, just stop by at any of our on-campus booths or at any of our box delivery locations to purchase our boxes.

How should I pack my things?

Please make sure to read through our Packing Guidelines.

If possible try to package all of your large items in our LARGE BOX (24x18x18). This allows you to get the most amount of storage space at the most affordable price. Please pack Books and smaller items in our book boxes to avoid your large boxes being charged as 'overweight'. All fridges need to be cleaned properly. Failure to do so may incur a fine. All stored packages must be properly labeled. We provide printable labels that can be found on our website in your account page.

Do futons and beds have to be taken apart?

The Boxing Co kindly asks that all futons and beds be disassembled before they are stored.

Where Can I get Labels?

Free labels are available on our website. If you have an account it should be on the right side of your screen at your Account Home. Just download and fill out. Then securely attach them to all your items and you’re ready to go!

Is there anything that I shouldn’t store with you?

The Boxing Co highly suggests taking with you your jewelry, coins, collectables, cash, and other valuables. Though we provide secure storage, our insurance does not cover such items and we think it’s always a good idea to keep valuables with you. Hazardous material and contraband are strictly prohibited and The Boxing Co reserves the right to inspect for and remove such items.

Storage & Shipping
Do I have to make a reservation?

The Boxing Co kindly asks that you make a reservation with us prior to pick-up. Simply sign up for an account and pay the reservation fee. The fee guarantees you a pick-up time, allows you to pick up free supplies at any of our tents, and insures every one of your items for $300. Reservations can either be made in person at any of our on-campus booths with cash or check or through the web with a credit card.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes, you can cancel your reservation at anytime before your scheduled pick-up. Your $20 reservation fee can be refunded in-full up to 1 week before your school's first pick-up day.

Can I access my belongings during the summer?

Unfortunately, The Boxing Co does not allow you to access your belongings during the summer months. Once stored the earliest items can be retrieved is during our scheduled Fall drop-off.

Where will you be storing my things?

The Boxing Co safely stores your items at a professional storage facility near your school. Our storage facilities are professionally guarded, and climate controlled for your peace of mind.

How does shipping work?

The Boxing Co is proud to partner with FedEx and DHL to provide you with quality shipping services. We'll pick up your items right from your dorm room, just like storage, and ship to a destination of your choice. Shipping prices are determined according to destination zip code and weight and orders can be placed through your Boxing Co. account. Please legibly write the destination and return address on your box; we'll take care of the rest.

What do I need to have with me on my pick-up date?

You should have your pre-packed items with labels attached to them. The labels should be filled out and securely attached. The Boxing Co labels can be found on our website. If you plan to pay by check or cash you should have that with you at the time of pick-up. If you plan to pay by credit card, make sure you made a prior reservation online with the credit card you plan to use. Otherwise, only cash and check will be accepted at the time of pick-up. If you know where you will be living in the Fall, please write that information on the boxes and labels.

What do I need to have with me on my delivery date?

You should have a copy of your contract or a valid form of identification. If someone else is picking up your belongings for you that person should have a copy of your contract and a valid form of identification as well. If it is a late delivery, please also be ready to pay the appropriate fees at that time.

I missed my delivery date. What do I do now?

Don’t worry. Just contact us as soon as possible through our website to schedule a new delivery time. Late deliveries are available for up to three (3) weeks into the fall term. There will be additional fees for redelivery of items.

I live off-campus. Do you do pick-up and delivery for my location?

Absolutely! One of the distinguishing features of The Boxing Co. is our ability to accomodate off-campus students. Just pick [Off campus] on the drop down menu for pick-up and delivery and input your address.

Insurance
Are my items insured against damage and loss?

All items stored with The Boxing Co are automatically insured for $300.

Billing
When do I get billed?

You are billed $20 when you make a reservation. This charge is a one time cost. The total storage cost needs to be paid through our website no later then two weeks after Move-Out, unless storage is paid for on Move-Out day with cash or check.

Can I pay with Cash or Check?

Yes, The Boxing Co gladly accepts cash or check. We only accept cash or check in person so if you are looking to pay for your reservation with cash or check you can meet us at any of our on-campus booths or when we deliver our boxes. Full payment through cash or check can be done at time of pick-up. Any checks should be made out to “The Boxing Co”

Can I pay with Credit Card?

Yes, The Boxing Co gladly accepts credit cards. You can pay with credit card through our website. A reservation fee must be paid prior to pick-up and this can be done with your credit card through our website. At the time of pick-up, you may specify that you wish to pay the full bill with your credit card, and we will send you your credit card bill via email.

Will my reservation fee be returned?

Your reservation fee is a one time charge that can only be refunded if you decide to cancel your order. The fee allows us to give customers 'first come first serve' service, gives you access to as much free supplies as you need, and insures every item automatically for $300

Are there any additional fees?

Additional fees will be applied for bounced checks, missed deliveries, late deliveries, and fridges that have not been properly cleaned.

How are you so much cheaper than your competitors?

The company was started by college students, just like you, who know how expensive and worrisome summer storage can be. Therefore, we do our best to keep our prices affordable. We automate much of our billing and inventory to keep costs low and quality of service high, so that we are the most affordable option on campus.
